These prairie rattlesnake skins are legally harvested in Texas as part of a program to reduce their numbers in the wild. These skins come without rattles and are sold in full skins. They are glycerin- and alcohol-tanned, and are suitable for making boots, wallets, guitar slings, and gun slings.
Before making any items with the skins, it is up to the artist or craftsperson to make sure that the materials are suitable for their purpose. We do not guarantee suitability for any project and cannot accept returns once the skins have been cut.
Our Gxx codes denote individual pieces. If you would like to order a specific prairie rattlesnake skin, please go to our Gallery to pick the exact one shown.
Genus and species: Crotalus viridis. Wild.
Prairie rattlesnakes are not endangered and are not subject to CITES.
A USFWS export permit is required for all shipments outside the USA.
