We store the black bear
teeth in mineral oil to keep them from cracking. They are the
natural color with stains. Just wipe them off to remove any gunk on
them from shipping. If you want to whiten them, just soak
them overnight in household hydrogen peroxide from the drug store.
The canine shown above is fairly typical. It is 2.5" from top to
bottom and 0.75" wide in the middle. Some are a bit bigger,
some are a bit smaller.
The molars shown above measure
approximately 0.5" to 0.75" long by 0.25" wide by
0.75" high. Each molar weighs about 3 grams.

bear around the world are considered to be a threatened species. The
trade in these skins is regulated to ensure that the bears do not face
extinction. Black bear are no longer found in some areas, but are
quite plentiful in Canada. In fact, according to the Globe
& Mail, more than 100,000 black bears are thought to live in the
Canadian province of Ontario alone. All of our black bear products have been
legally acquired. Most of the bear skins come from legal hunting or
culling programs.
Please
Note: Black
