Skins
| We offer a variety of sizes and grades of beaver skins.
The larger the size, the higher the price. The better the grade, the
higher the price.
These
are tanned skins. Except for the beaver skins with tails, the beaver
skins do not have tails. If you are trying
to make something with the beaver skins (like a blanket or throw or
pillows), please keep in mind that the useable size will be smaller than
the maximum dimensions. Please do not hesitate to ask for help
with measurements if needed.
Our Gxx codes denote individual pieces. If you would like to order a specific beaver skin, please go to our Gallery to pick the exact one shown.
Genus and species:
Castor canadensis. Wild.
Beaver are not an endangered species and are not subject
to CITES. They are
very common in Canada and parts of the United States.
A USFWS export permit is required for all shipments
outside of the U.S.
We do not recommend shipping beaver skins to Germany. We had a beaver skin shipment returned by German customs in November 2012.

available. They have excellent hair coverage and no significant imperfections.
These skins are large to extra large. We hand pick these for the best

Beaver Skins

#2/#3 Grade
Beaver Skins
The #2/#3 skins are soft and supple. They
have minor flaws, generally areas of weaker hair or rubs. There may be

(but may have some firm spots) and are
ideal for cutting up for making trim on garment or other crafts. Expect
major bald spots, rips, tears, or other problems. They come in assorted
sizes.
Natural Black Beaver Skins

The sizes shown are for tanned skins and are
approximate. The extra-large skins are also commonly known as blanket
beavers because of their sizes.
