Weathered antler
is old antler that is suitable for craft projects and decoration. It is a
mix of white tail deer, mule deer and elk. It is somewhat chalky; this is
not hard antler.
They are approximately 1 pound per piece, however, sizes do vary and some may weigh more or less. We have had pieces that weighed 3 pounds before.
Genus and species of white tail deer: Odocoileus virginianus. Wild.
Genus and species for mule deer: Odocoileus hemionus. Wild.
Genus and species of elk: Cervus elaphus. Wild.
Not for sale in most southeastern states due to state regulations.
It was confirmed by USFWS on October 15, 2015 that it is okay to sell white tail deer antler to California because the species is not native to that state.
A USFWS export permit is required for all shipments outside the USA.
