These musical animals are made from rain tree wood. Just run the stick over the ridges to create realistic alligator, cricket, frog sounds. For the alligator instruments, the best way to "play" them is to hold them by the tail and stroke the ridges from back to front with the stick. The air has to pass through the mouth hole and under the belly for the best resonance to occur.
They are available in different sizes. All measurements are approximate.
One 4"-5" cricket measured 4.25" long, 1.25" wide, and 1.5" tall, and a 5"-6" cricket measured 6.5" long, 1.5" wide, and 2.5" tall.
One 1.5"-3" frog measured 3" long, 2" wide, and 1.5" tall, and a 4"-5" frog measured 5" long, 3" wide, and 2.5" tall.
One 6" alligator measured 6" long by 2" wide and weighed 50 grams. One 10" alligator measured 10" long by 2.5" wide and weighed 150 grams.
For the cricket instruments, the length measurement is from tail to the base of the antenna.
