Caring for Fur

Fur hats and garments are designed to be worn.  They will last many years with very little special care.  Do not store any fur products in plastic.  This is very bad for fur.  Also, try to store them in a cool, dry location.  They can use an occasional light brushing to remove any dirt or loose hair.

If you get your hat or garment really dirty (e.g., fall in the mud or something), the best thing to do is take it to a furrier for proper cleaning using special chemicals and a tumbler.

Remember to use moth balls or cedar to keep moths away.
