Trip to Greenpoint Market in Cape Town - December 2006
A vendor with a nice collection of Zulu beadwork. Lizzie, my favorite dealer, and her daughter in front of her stand. Zulu beadwork at Greenpoint Market. This is what we import--only the best available. Paul and Lizzie at her stall. A typical view of the market. Another view. You can walk for hours at this market and never get bored. The market just keeps going, and going, and going.... A fabulous carver and his work. He's a refugee from Mugabe's madness in Zimbabwe. The view from the News Cafe across the street. A great place to have a few pints after shopping.
